In this video, we showcase the Thread the Needle exercise, a key move in Pilates for enhancing flexibility and balance. This exercise is great for opening up the thoracic spine, improving shoulder mobility, and working your obliques for better posture and core strength.

Benefits of Thread the Needle:

Increases spinal mobility

Strengthens the shoulders

Engages the core and obliques

Improves balance and coordination

Relieves tension in the upper back

How to Perform Thread the Needle:

Start in a Tabletop Position: Begin on your hands and knees with your wrists directly under your shoulders and your knees under your hips.

Reach Through: Slide your right hand under your body, reaching towards the opposite side, twisting your torso.

Lower Gently: Lower your right shoulder and head to the floor, keeping your left arm stable.

Hold and Stretch: Hold for a few seconds, feeling the stretch in your back and shoulders.

Repeat on the Other Side: Come back to the tabletop position and repeat with your left arm.
