Exercises to Relieve Sciatic Pain:
1. Pigeon Pose: A great yoga stretch to relieve tension in the glutes. Use a block if needed for support.
2. Shoelace Pose: Intense stretch for the hips. A block can help manage the intensity.
3. Belly Twist: Excellent for stretching the back body. Use blocks to help relax into the position.
How to Perform These Stretches:
1. Pigeon Pose: Sit in the middle of your mat, use a block if needed, and ensure you feel a stretch in the glute.
2. Shoelace Pose: Start in hero pose, bring one foot over the opposite knee, and use a block for support. Fold at the hips to increase intensity.
3. Belly Twist: From semi-supine, shift hips to one side and knees to the opposite. Hold for 2 minutes each side, using blocks if needed.
